Jiangsu Traditional Chinese Medicine International Exchange Conference was held Monday morning in Nanjing, capital city of east China's Jiangsu province. 

江苏中医药国际交流大会21号上午在南京举办。

The conference is meant to better promote Jiangsu TCM to the world while stepping up the international communication of traditional Chinese medicine. Hu Gang, Vice Chair of Jiangsu Provincial Committee of CPPCC and President of NJUCM, addressed the conference. Dr. Mary Faria, President & CEO of AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine, also delivered a speech via video link. She hoped that both sides could work together to build a platform for international exchange and cooperation on TCM, and promote more in-depth exchanges and cooperation between China and the United States in the field of health.

本届江苏中医药国际交流大会旨在更好地向世界推介江苏中医药，加强中医药文化的国际传播。江苏省政协副主席、南京中医药大学校长胡刚做了现场致辞，美国AOMA整合医学研究生院校长玛丽·法瑞亚通过视频致辞，希望双方携手努力，搭建中医药国际交流合作平台，推动中美两国在卫生健康领域更深入的交流合作。

Shennong is known as the Medicine King in Chinese mythology. The global debut of Little Shennong's Herbal Adventure, China's first Chinese-English TCM comic book, and an overseas book donation ceremony was held during the event, in a bid to better promote TCM and Chinese culture to the world.

神农，是中国古代神话传说中“药神”。活动现场，中国首部中英文版中医药漫画读本《小神农识药记》全球首发仪式，及海外赠书活动都致力于让世界上更多的人了解中国文化，了解中国传统医药。

Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine held a signing ceremony with Mae Fah Luang University, Malaysian Zhengyang Group and Piaget University of Portugal for the going global projects.

南京中医药大学与泰国皇太后大学、马来西亚征阳集团、葡萄牙Piaget大学举行了中医药“走出去”项目签约仪式。

Hu Gang, Vice Chair of Jiangsu Provincial Committee of CPPCC and President of NJUCM, stressed that this conference will strongly promote the development and international communication of Jiangsu TCM around the world and implement the General Secretary's remarks to better tell China's stories and TCM stories. He was also quoted as saying that NJUCM is the cradle of higher Chinese medicine education and has trained a large number of talents in Chinese medicine at home and abroad, making the development of Chinese medicine in Jiangsu at the forefront of the industry.

江苏省政协副主席、南京中医药大学校长胡刚在采访中说：“这次传承与发展国际交流大会的召开，将有力地促进江苏中医药的对外发展，落实总书记说过的‘讲好中国的故事，讲好中医药的故事’。南京中医药大学是高等中医药教育的摇篮，培养了国内外一大批中医药方面的人才，使得江苏的中医药发展走在前列，在行业中遥遥领先。”

Actor of Little Shennong said that Little Shennong's Herbal Adventure is really interesting, and he hopes the whole world could know about traditional Chinese culture.

扮演小神农的演员告诉记者说，《小神农识药记》很好看，他想让全世界都了解中国以前的文化。

High-level talks were also held onsite on the theme of inheritance, development and international communication of Jiangsu TCM. Sponsored by Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and Jiangsu Health Commission, this conference called for the joint efforts of the younger generation and medical experts to practice Jiangsu TCM and promote it to the world. 

开幕式后，与会专家学者围绕江苏中医药的传承发展与国际传播主题举行了交流研讨。此次大会由江苏省外办、省卫健委联合主办，期待年轻一代与名医专家共同为江苏中医药的传承和传播作出努力和贡献。
